Hoyer VMS Group now strengthens its overall offering to the maritime industry in Brazil and the rest of South America. With the merger of Hoyer and VMS Group, customers in the region now gain access to a broader range of solutions from one single supplier.
VMS Group is already a well-known brand in Brazil and across other parts of South America, where the company has for many years provided service, repair, and maintenance of marine engines and propulsion systems. At the end of 2025, VMS Group merged with Hoyer to create a global one-stop partner for power and motion solutions. The new company combines VMS Group’s extensive engine and service expertise with Hoyer’s specialist knowledge in electric motors, drives, and automation.
Less complexity and reduced downtime
For shipowners, this means less complexity, higher operational reliability, and reduced downtime.

First joint presentation at Navalshore
The first time Hoyer VMS Group will present itself with this expanded maritime offering will be at Navalshore in Brazil in August.
Here, the company will focus on how shipowners can optimise collaboration with one single supplier, how service and maintenance tasks can be consolidated, and how the right combination of mechanical and electrical expertise can contribute to higher operational reliability and more stable vessel operations.
